There are very few genuine bobbers for sale in the Indian market, among which the Jawa Perak holds the title of being the most affordable in the country at present. Jawa’s single-seat flagship motorcycle is a true blue bobber with low-slung old-school appeal that offers more form than function. While the standard Jawa Perak is available with only one color option among the showroom floors, this custom Perak from Hyderabad-based Eimor Customs is impressive with its unique color scheme.

Known for customizing neo-retro motorcycles, Eimor Customs is a popular motorcycle customization brand in South India. The folks at Eimor Customs have come up with a customization project based on Jawa Perak, which gets a host of visual changes to make the already elusive bike even more special. The overall changes introduced in this motorcycle are limited to visual changes only and do not change its mechanics.

Custom Jawa Perak bobber motorcycle looks classy

For starters, this custom Jawa Perak from Eimor Customs gets an all-new custom black paint finish nicely complemented by gold copper graphics, which are present on the lower parts of the 14-litre fuel tank and side body panels. Even the round-themed headlight cowl and front and rear fenders come with copper-gold stripe work. All of the bike’s mechanical components, which are already themed in matte black, pair well with this new gloss black and copper-gold paint scheme.

Custom Jawa Perak bobber motorcycle looks classy

Other significant changes in this Jawa Perak from Eimor Customs include a new beige seat cover for the single seat offered. The rear fender gets a custom rack above it, since the Perak doesn’t come with a factory-fitted rear seat. In addition to improving aesthetics, the rack also improves the practicality of the motorcycle by allowing it to carry small loads on the rack.

Jawa Perak gets 334cc engine

As said above, no changes have been made to the mechanics of this Jawa Perak. It continues to run on the same liquid-cooled 334cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine as the original version of the bike, which produces 30bhp of peak power and 32Nm of peak torque. Even the 6-speed gearbox, inverted telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock absorber and slant-cut twin exhaust outlets are identical.

Currently, the Jawa Perak has no direct competition in its price segment, as the only bobber available closer to its price is the newly launched Keeway V302C. This new bike from Keeway has a 300cc twin-cylinder engine and costs almost double the Jawa Perak.

Jawa officially re-entered the Indian market in 2018 and launched the Classic and 42 bikes. The brand also introduced the Jawa Perak bobber, which was officially launched earlier this year to mark Jawa’s one-year presence in the market. Indian. Priced at Rs 1.94 lakhs, the Jawa Perak is the most affordable bobber bike in the Indian market. It has no direct competition in the market.

ALEXANDRIA – The slip-bobber method of presenting bait to fish has been around for several decades.

Over time, this simple, yet often effective method has been pushed aside by much of the die-hard angler crowd (myself included) in favor of what are considered more complex and challenging fishing presentations. higher-order who often garner terms such as “forward-thinking” and “game changer” as descriptors.

All the while the simple slip-bobber has worked in relative obscurity, still among the best rig setups to use with kids and beginners, but “too simple” to be used by at least some of the die-hard fishing enthusiasts. .

Well, that has changed lately, as many high-priced walleye derbies have been won by anglers using slip-bobbers in at least some of their tournament angling arsenals. Tournament victories and the fishing methods used to win them are turning heads and recent results seem to have given the simple slip-bobber something of a renaissance among today’s hardcore anglers!

This is an overview of the basics of the slip-bobber rig for use by children and other beginners. In fact, the basics presented below form the backbone of the rod rigging curriculum featured in ZEBCO School of Fish classes taught to thousands of children in the upper Midwest by myself and other educators. fishing over the past 10+ years. These basics can also serve as useful refreshers for others with much more fishing experience who may need a refresher on slip-bobbers 101 to rejuvenate their fishing success.

A slip bobber rig begins with the bobber stopper (often made of string or rubber), which threads onto the line to start the rig. The stopper is designed to be able to be slid up and down the line, with this adjustability at the heart of the whole rig. More on that later.

Following the bobber stop, a small drawstring is added and then a slip-bobber. The heel acts as a cushion between the toe piece and the bobber to prevent the bobber from sliding on the toe piece. The bobber itself can be made of different designs, some allowing the line to slide the full length of the bobber while others have “split” ends that allow the bobber to slide.

Guide to fitting a slip-bobber.

The line under the bobber optionally has a hook or jig attached, usually baited with a leech, minnow, or part of a nightcrawler. Often one or two split cast weights are pinched on the line about a foot above the hook or jig. Split shots add weight for easier casting and also keep the bobber low in the water column to prevent it from being easily blown away. A low float also increases fish catches because a barely buoyant float glides easily underwater without scaring even the most wary fish!

Now that we’re rigged, let’s look at some slip-bobber benefits.

First, the fishing depth at which the hook/jig is fishing can be simply adjusted by sliding the bobber stopper. Moving the stopper up the line/away from the jig or hook allows the rig to fish deeper, while moving the stopper closer to the hook/jig allows shallower fishing. These adjustments can be made simply by the angler using their fingers to move the stopper, so no line cutting or re-attaching is required.

Second, because the small bobber stopper can be spooled directly onto the rod in the reel and the bobber itself slides to the split weights or jig, a very short amount of line can exit the tip of the rod when throwing. A short line when casting makes casting safer when children are involved and is also very advantageous when deep water is fished.

Finally, the slip-bobber rig excels at landing fish. Again, because the bobber stopper can easily be retrieved through the rod guides on the reel, the fish can be reeled in close to the tip of the rod to allow for easier and more successful landing of the fish.

More than one trophy fish has escaped the dip net when a traditional “pinched on” bobber kept the trophy of a lifetime just out of reach during the landing process. With a slip-bobber the fish can be brought close to the tip of the rod and landed.

Regardless of your fishing experience, a slip-bobber rig may need to be introduced or reintroduced into your angling arsenal. By following the tips just presented, you may be able to land the fish of your life this season, and on a slip-bobber!

As always, don’t forget to include a youngster in your next outdoor adventure.

I have always been an advocate of artificial lures. They allow targeting of fish species and are versatile in that you can change their color, presentation, and retrieve to better entice a certain fish to bite.

That being said, sometimes you still can’t beat the fun of an old-school worm and bobber. You also never know what might bite when using this age-old method of fishing.

Just recently I was doing some work along the Muskegon River and had some free time, like any outdoor enthusiast, I pulled out my fishing rod and decided to see what would bite.

Expecting to catch a small trout, blue gills or bass, to my surprise when the bobber dropped there was a smallmouth bass at the end of the line. The smallmouth is among the best pound-for-pound fighters, and on my travel ultralight setup, it was a blast as small, after small was hooked.

Although a worm and bobber setup is a simple method of fishing, there are things you can do to increase your chances of hooking up with fish.

Look for any type of structure, fish your bobber above rocks, sticks or the edge of a drop off. Also target the edges of water lilies or weed beds.

In a river, as I fished, the fall and a lull in the current will often find a hungry fish ready to take the bait.

When we learned that we would be attending and exhibiting again at AIMExpo 2022 in Las Vegas, we immediately started thinking about what we could put in our booth. The conversation quickly turned to a custom motorcycle, and our very own Jacqui Van Ham had just the guy.

Vegas local Mike Rabideau built “Gold Rush” about 10 years ago, but his custom V-twin looked brand new to us when we saw it on the AIMExpo show floor. Rabideau has his own shop, called Majik Mike’s Designs, where he produces jaw-dropping vintage Harleys for customers. Located just a mile north of the Vegas Strip, it has amassed a following of loyal customers and enthusiasts who are just waiting to see its next build. Gold Rush was one of his first.

When it comes to custom motorcycle builds, there are very few criteria that a builder must follow in order to separate it from the rest. However, few custom bikes are able to truly stand out from the crowd. An even bigger task is to build an eye-catching custom bike that can still be used regularly as a driver or daily cruiser.

“I probably got the most miles on this bike of any bike I have,” says Rabideau. “It’s just a little short bobber bike with a little tank, obviously we’re not going to cross the country with this thing. You just ride around town and for Vegas, these bikes aren’t very well known in town, so when the one This one shows up, it grabs attention. It’s definitely one of my favorites, and it shows off my style.

Powering the bike is a Total Performance Engineering 124 cubic-inch V-twin engine paired with an open belt drive and custom piping done by Rabideau. With such a big engine, Rabideau says the rest of the bike was basically tailored around it.

A gooseneck front end gives the bike its signature look, adding 2.5 inches up front and allowing for 19 inches. front wheel and a smaller 16 inch one. rear wheel.

Just before AIME, Rabideau finalized updates to the bike, including a new gas tank and fresh coat of paint.

“It’s basically a second take on the first paint job,” he says. “My friend Daron from Liquid Illusions made this for me, the gold foil is brand new and the extra gold band around the black is brand new.

“There is no front brake, but in addition, it is a standard gear change. When I have people coming into town, if they want to borrow a bike, that’s the one I’ll let them borrow because most of my bikes are foot-clutch and hand-lever, which is a Bit tricky for some people.

Next time you’re in Las Vegas, be sure to look for “Gold Rush” near the Strip, because you might see Rabideau (or a friend) passing by.

Connections praised oscule as she once again showed her courage by justifying favoritism in the Whispering Angel Oak Tree Stakes at Goodwood.

William Buick’s mount – trained by George Boughey for Nick Bradley Racing – was keen at the start of the seven-stage Group Three contest, but from a good draw in stall two the 100-30 chance found plenty of cover behind Soft Whisper, who set the pace from a wide berth.

Once the longtime leader passed out, Internationalangel (66-1) was sent to the front by Adam Kirby and the Jane Chapple-Hyam-trained mare looked all over the winner inside the final furlong, only for Oscula to show plenty of heart on the back rail, rising in the shade of the post to register a header hit.

French raider Samahram caught the eye staying third, an extra length and a quarter back.

It was the three-year-old winner’s fourth race in 25 days, being in action as recently as Saturday when he was second in the Group Three Valiant Stakes at Ascot.

Boughey said: “Oscula is a real standard bearer for Nick Bradley who is a huge supporter of the yard.

“She keeps trying. My girlfriend Laura rides her so it’s a particular success. She raced four times in July and I think she’s peaking here. Having raced four days ago, it’s is a remarkable horse.

“Sent a video to Nick and William Buick of Oscula charging around the paddock last night, she’s a remarkable horse. She puts on weight in 24 hours and she’s a real star.

“It was a tough watch, but William is an important part of the team so it was brilliant. I put it in a race in France in 10 days so we could go there.”

trill (7-1) came with a huge flurry from the stands side under Pat Dobbs to win the Markel Molecomb Stakes.

Trainer Richard Hannon looked daring to bring the No Nay Never filly five furlongs back for the first time on a sharp track for only her third start, but she managed both the journey and the move to the company of the group three with aplomb. , looking like she just had a hand in the production of her finishing kick.

Although she had a lot to do with two stadiums to run, with Eddie’s Boy and Rocket Rodney setting the pace, Dobbs bided her time and Trillium’s acceleration was instantaneous, as she raced home to score through a length and a quarter of the tied favorite Rocket. Rodney, with Walbank half a length further in third.

“She’s always been a beautiful filly and I was surprised she didn’t win here the first time around, she probably didn’t know enough and was a bit enthusiastic,” Hannon said.

“She won her maiden very well at Newbury. She’s always been a very nice filly and she’s starting to look like a strong two-year-old. She came in quite late, but she’s a credit to Rockcliffe Stud, they bred her and she is a very good filly. We will be looking at something like the Morny.

secret state (11-4f) has bolstered his St Leger credentials with four wins in his last four starts.

Market leader for the Coral Beaten-By-A-Length free bet handicap over a mile and a half, the three-year-old Charlie Appleby was enthusiastic early on and drifted left in the closing stages, after hitting the before when cutting.

But the Dubawi colt showed great determination under William Buick to hold off Maksud by a length and a quarter, supporting his Royal Ascot King George V success. Inverness remained third, one more head behind.

Appleby said: “That race at Royal Ascot has gone well and physically he’s only gotten better from the start of the summer to where we are today.

“I think the most logical step, in the future, will be to go to the Grand Voltigeur. I know William offered the Léger, but these are small steps – handicaps, going up in the company of the Group is a big thing. He’s a horse that I was very confident going into the day, what he achieved at Ascot and how the horse is doing physically right now.

“We were, as I said, confident coming here today with the vision that this will be a stepping stone to the Grand Voltigeur.”

The platinum queen (5-6F) could be set to clash with his seniors after breaking the five furlong track record with a stunning performance in the EBF Alice Keppel Fillies UK Conditions Stakes.

The Cotai Glory daughter, trained by Richard Fahey, clocked 56.5 seconds under Oisin Orr, bettering the mark set by Trillium in the Molecomb Stakes earlier in the afternoon.

The Middleham Park Racing filly did most of the race, backing up her rookie success at York and propelling four lengths ahead of Union Court, with Star Of Lady M two lengths further back in third.

Fahey is now considering replacing her for the Nunthorpe at York on August 24.

He said: “Oh my God, she’s an extremely fast filly. We had a filly a few years ago who was quite fast (Queen Kindly), but this filly has a great mind and she goes fast very easily.

“It’s not easy to get her to gallop home because she wants to go fast all the time. She does it easily. But everything else is great. She’s a spirited filly. Nunthorpe this morning .

“It was discussed before the race, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t be discussed after now!”

Royal Enfield has a strong fan base in the Indian market due to its build quality and attractive looks. Therefore, its popularity attracts custom shops and designers to play with its design and provide it with more interesting appearances. There are many aftermarket modifiers and support across the country, and Neev Motorcycles is one of them as well. Recently they customized an RE motorcycle into a bobber and called it “Divine”.

As part of their collaboration with Royal Enfield, they have redesigned the brand’s Classic 350 motorcycle. This modified bike gave birth to a jaw-dropping bobber named Divine. They picked the single saddle bobber design for the custom bike and gave it some cool stuff. The brass accents all over the body of the bike are mesmerizing and perfectly complement the black hue of the bike. Also, to give the bike a low profile appearance, they increased the wheelbase.

Neev Motorcycles designers also removed some unnecessary parts from the motorcycle. And to create a classic old-school look, they outfitted the bike with 5×16 vintage-pattern tires with wire-spoke wheels. With those wide tires, the bike looks like a giant, and its road presence has been enhanced as well. Brass handwork all over the body adds to the beauty of the Divine. Engravings on the fuel tank, side profile and other prominent parts gave the bike a regal look.

Additionally, grips, footpegs, exhaust ends, fuel caps, sissy bars and other components are either machined or made from solid brass. On top of that, the attention to detail on its leather tank, fenders and seat is breathtaking. To complete the look, they used a black and gold paint scheme. Gold leaf is used to further enhance the appearance of the tank. They did all the customization work in such a neat and clean way that every custom motorcycle lover will appreciate the end product. The Scout Bobber Twenty shares many design elements with the other Scout Bobber variants. These details include bar end mirrors, domed rear fender, blackout components, wide tires and a unique genuine leather seat. The American manufacturer also fitted the Bobber Twenty with wire-spoke wheels instead of cast alloy units, making it the only Scout model to feature them.

In the world of media and film, it is often said that with less budget comes more creativity. And Australia’s Edi Buffon proves that this holds true in the fine world of custom machinery as well. We’ve come across some of the coolest custom bikes like the futuristic-looking BMW R NineT and the two-faced Buell S1. But all of them require some level of financial commitment.

Edi, meanwhile, took on the challenge of building a bespoke machine without any investment! Yes, you heard right. This turbocharged Suzuki GS650 bobber was created by the custom house of Edi – Machine 1867 with as little money as possible. The only money he invested was for the leather upholstery of the leaf-shaped seat.

Building a custom motorcycle is an art, but building one without money is on a whole other level. Edi had to minimize the bodywork, which not only helped him save money, but also gave this bobber a raw, mechanical theme.

He had a Suzuki engine that has been dragging for a long time, which came in handy here. Oh, and not to mention those protruding carburettors on one side and the turbo housing on the other, which adds even more drama to the build. Even the side stand looks like a work of art, despite being a curved metal rod!

Machine 1867’s Edi Buffon with his wild-looking Suzuki GS650 bobber shows us that money is the least of the requirements for a head-turning custom build.

Edi started this long and stagnant build from scratch

Edi already had a half-worked Suzuki GS650 in his garage. This bike had taken the side seat when he lost interest and continued with other custom builds. But it went unsupervised for a while, so he decided to do something creative with it.

He started from scratch by putting the engine and wheels on a table and thinking about what to do next. And that’s when he decided to go “zero bucks” on building and create something with parts and scraps from his parts bin.

Turbocharging on motorcycles is always a fun recipe

Edi didn’t go slow just because he wanted to do a coin bin project. For this reason, he decided to install a turbocharger on the air-cooled 673cc DOHC inline-4 engine. In stock form, this engine produced 73 hp and 42.2 lb-ft of torque. Those numbers are pretty healthy, even by today’s standards for a middleweight offering.

Adding turbocharging will only make things more fun. Edi also added a custom twin Webber carburettor setup protruding from the right side up. It was mated to a custom handcrafted manifold. And on the left side, it positioned the turbo system, almost all of its parts are custom made. The actual numbers aren’t known, but it’s sure to put a big smile on the rider’s face.

No Money Earned Edi Think Out Of The Box With This Build

Edi’s plan not to use a single penny made him think hard about finding solutions. The entire frame was built from spare tubing that was lying around the shop. It opted for a low-slung configuration with a rack angle set at 35 degrees and a long 61-inch wheelbase.

Then the turbo engine got a custom exhaust system built using the stock headers mated to an end pipe using 3 inch tips from a box of cutouts from older versions . And when it ran out of 3-inch pipes, 2.5-inch bits were used, and it was coupled to the 3-inch tube using an improvised flange from a four-cylinder engine.

The turbo end pipe and wastegate were both angled upwards, which matched the carburetor setup. It should be noted that this is an end-to-end show build, with little to no built-in functionality! He made a beam-style front fork setup using a pair of mountain bike shocks he had trailed.

He then welded a set of handlebars to the forks and also sculpted a set of knurled grips. It kept the front section simple with no brakes and used a lever-operated throttle system. The throttle and clutch used reversed levers. The rear brake assembly and pedal setup were assembled from many salvaged parts.

The raw nature of this construction gave it an industrial look

By using no money for this build, Edi managed to bring a raw, minimal and industrial theme to the bike. But despite the constraints, he still managed to make it his own. He built custom sharp-looking split tanks. The tanks were made of steel which was then polished to bring out that shine.

He made a custom seat design that looked like a leaf. It was wrapped in custom red leather upholstery. It hid the external fuel pump and a 12V battery under the seat. To maintain the raw appeal of this build, he decided to display the fuel and vacuum lines.

He painted the custom tail section and front forks black. He also tried his hand at a chemical bluing process for the frame and other metal fittings. Interestingly, the original wheels were retained and went very well throughout the build. The only items he shelled out the money for were the leather upholstery and ceramic coating to protect this work of art on wheels.

This Suzuki GS650 Bobber Build Is All About Skills

Edi Buffon with this turbo bobber build showed us that you don’t need a bucket of cash to build a wild custom motorcycle. Outstanding skills and thinking are all that is required (and experience of course). Edi is the Dumbledore of the custom motorcycle world!
