Harley-Davidson Sportster S launched at Rs. 15.51 lakh
There’s a new American cruiser in town! The Sportsters S has landed on the Indian side, and Harley-Davidson has taken advantage of India Bike Week 2021 to unveil its new cruiser in the midst of passionate motorcyclists.
Harley-Davidson India has launched the new Sportster S during India Bike Week 2021. The new American cruiser demands Rs. 15.51 lakh (ex-showroom), making it significantly more affordable than its direct rival, the Ducati Diavel 1260. The Italian hyper-cruiser is priced at Rs. 18.49 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 3 lakh more expensive than the new Harley-Davidson Sportster S.
The Sportster S was developed from the ground up, which means a new chassis, a new engine and both modern and retro styling. Full details of the new 2021 Harley-Davidson Sportster S are available here.
To give a quick overview of the new cruiser, the bike features a 1252cc 60-degree V-twin engine that we experienced in the Harley-Davidson Pan-America and you can read our impressions of this bike by clicking here. Power output is rated at 119.3bhp and 127.4Nm, and it’s all sent to the steering wheel via a six-speed gearbox.
The bike also packs some modern features such as IMU-based cornering ABS and traction control along with five riding modes. The motorcycle is equipped with a TFT display for the instrumentation and the headlights are fully LED.
We expect Harley-Davidson to begin deliveries of the new Sportster S by January 2022.
