Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has launched the all new Jawa 42 Bobber in the Indian market at a starting price of 2.06 lakhs (ex-showroom) and the costs of the premium variant 2.09 lakh (old showroom). It will be offered in three variants, the only difference between the three is the paint scheme. At this price, the Jawa 42 Bobber is the most affordable bobber style motorcycle in the Indian market. Jawa 42 Bobber will be available for testing and delivery at Jawa Yezdi dealerships from early next week.

Color Price (outside showroom)
mystical copper 2,06,500
white moonstone 2,07,500
Red Jasper (dual tone) 2,09,187

The paint schemes the Jawa 42 Bobber will be offered in are Mystic Copper, Moonstone White and two-tone Jasper Red. Jawa said the 42 Bobber is not just an exercise in design and styling, as the manufacturer has made ergonomic and technical improvements to the bike.

The 42 Bobber is the second bobber in the Jawa range. They already have the Perak in their lineup but it is currently Jawa’s flagship. The Perak may not sell in huge numbers because it lacks practicality, but it still has a cult following for its bobber style. People who can’t afford the Perak or only want a bobber for occasional weekend outings might prefer the 42 Bobber over the Perak.

The Jawa 42 Bobber has a minimalist body, chopped fenders, a low single seat, big tires and unique paint schemes. The headlight is still a round unit, which is a good thing, there’s a new handlebar, new fuel tank, clock console and an all new seat.

The new fuel tank has sculpted knee recesses with tank pads to add a retro touch and help the rider grip the tank. The fender and side panels are finished in gloss black so the bike’s paint scheme can stand out more.

The 42 Bobber uses a 334cc engine that produces 30.64Ps of peak power and 32.74Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Jawa also tweaked the suspension setup of the bobber.
