Indian Motorcycle has finally launched the new Chief range in India at 20.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The Chief range includes the Indian Chief Dark Horse, Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse and Indian Super Chief Limited models. The U.S. motorcycle maker unveiled the updated Indian Chief lineup earlier this year to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Chief brand in its lineup. The company then started accepting reservations for the three bikes in India in March this year for a symbolic amount of 3 lakh. So clearly the Indian Chief range launched in India took a considerable amount of time, but we can attribute it to the second wave of COVID-19.

Lalit Sharma, Country Director, Polaris India Pvt. Ltd. said, “The Chief is a sacred brand that has a glorious history and has attracted a steadfast fan over the years and across the world. As a tribute to this brand on the occasion of its 100th anniversary, we have launched the new Chief range of today’s motorcycles that will thrill all cruiser enthusiasts in India with their technological prowess, timeless elegance and modern performance. “

The new Indian Chief Dark Horse, Bobber and Super Chief Limited are reminiscent of old-fashioned touring motorcycles and promise a thrilling ride. They are all fitted with a rear fender, dual exhaust and Pirelli Night Dragon tires. The Chief and Bobber feature premium gloss black finishes, while the Super Chief Limited features premium chrome finishes.

The new Indian Chief Dark Horse adopts minimalist styling and aims to deliver a stripped-down riding experience while the Bobber sports the vintage design highlighted by such elements as metal spoke rims, a large rear tire, a muscular front end and a bobber seat. As for the Indian Super Chief Limited, it is designed to take on long journeys and has a windshield, saddlebags, traditional cruiser handlebars, a full chrome exhaust and running boards.

The suspension setup includes a 46mm front fork with 132mm of wheel travel and two preload-adjustable exterior rear shocks.
