Rapidé Cycles has released its new frame, the Tigré. The steel hardtail is designed to be versatile and fun, with modern geometry and enough room to accommodate tires up to 29 “x 3.0”. The South African Handyman Company emphasizes the many uses of the motorcycle, calling it a single speed rocket, long travel warrior, long distance touring wagon, and more. Sliding dropouts, the ability to use 27.5-inch wheels, and compatibility with multiple hub standards add to the versatility of the bike.

The Tigré has a 73mm threaded bottom bracket, ISCG-05 mount, and internal dropper post routing. It can accommodate a chainring up to 38 teeth and is designed to accommodate forks ranging from rigid travel to 140mm.

The Tigré can handle a range of forks. Here is the geometry when fitted with 140mm up front.

quotation marks “To say we’re excited is an understatement. We wanted to produce a frame that was super versatile, competitively priced, and of high quality. To this end, Tigray has been tested for safety and durability according to ISO4210 standards, with all testing performed on a single test frame rather than each test protocol being performed on separate frames. -Wayne Levet, owner of Rapidé

Le Tigré is currently available on the Rapide website for US $ 640 plus tax. It exists in red, white and black.
