The Canfield Yelli Screamy Hardtail is back

Fruita, Colorado-based Canfield Bikes has brought back the Yelli Screamy, a 29-inch aluminum hardtail, introducing it to the brand’s modern catalog. The new Yelli Screamy has more reach, a 65.5° head tube angle (with a 130mm fork) and short 424mm chainstays.

The bike also benefits from internal routing for the dropper post (though other cables are external), Boost spacing between the chainstays and room for three water bottle mounts.

“The original Yelli was the 29er we wanted to ride,” Lance Canfield said in a press release. “It didn’t exist, so we built it.”

The Yelli Screamy debuted in 2011, and according to the brand, it was the first 29er with sub-17-inch chainstays and more aggressive geometry.

A size medium has a reach of 450mm, wheelbase of 1,181mm, HTA of 65.5° and STA of 77°.

Canfield has tried to carry the spirit of the original bike into the new generation, and they say it’s great for everything from stacking up miles to riding pump tracks or even bikepacking.

The Yelli Screamy is available in Orange Dreamcycle, Purple Haze, Slate Train and Blue It powder finishes. The bike is available in sizes S, M, L and XL. Frame options start at $799 and complete bikes start at $4,000. Canfield expects deliveries to begin in January 2022.
