Watch the world’s fastest Triumph Bobber climb a hill
It’s fast, really fast.
Thornton Hundred is on the rise with its Bobber, the fastest in the world according to the brand. Many fans wanted to see him in action, so here is their video participating in the Goodwood Festival of Speedthe hill climb event.
The video is complemented by b-rolls from the event, which showcases awesome cars and other motorcycles. There is something to enjoy in every second of this four minute video. We covered a similar showcase, then the team from Thornton Hundred took to the drag race on a bike.
Looking closely at the clips of the Triumph Bonneville Bobber, you’ll find that the bike is barely able to maintain full-throttle traction. Even with the massive rear wheel, the Triumph seems to be wiggling a bit out of line, and all for good reason.
The Bobber is what Thornton Hundred claims to be the fastest Bonneville Bobber in the world. In its original form, the bike makes 77 hp, which is by no means this slow. However, Thornton specializes in British twin-cylinder motorcycles and is known for making some of the most exciting builds in the UK custom scene.
Upgrades include a compressor and a nitrous kit. The boost alone takes the bike’s power levels up to 160hp, while the nitrous kit takes it to 200hp. On top of that, the bike lets out a satisfying and powerful twin-cylinder exhaust note that is deep and I wish I could hear it in person.
Now it may seem like the bike only has a few snippets in the video, and if YouTube comments are anything to go by, a lot of people want to see even more of its acceleration, cornering ability and how good it is. exhilarating ride on video. Admit I wanted to see a helmet cam one, but it looks like Thornton could give people what they want, or you can get a custom Bobber for yourself.
